my theory is that cool is an unnamed religion that you can already understand based on the name i have given it, but that corporations and government and hospitals are basically based on the christian religion and are not down with cool even though all designers scientists and media folks are cools. even lots of cops are cool. the internet is a cool zone that is for some reason seeing a lot of uncool behavior lately. this /forceful religion/ versus /utilitarian laid back excessive lifestyle philosophy/ conflict underlies the ongoing cultural problem in the united states of america. when the government hospitals and corporations do something to screw you over they are basically doing what christians would do when mobbing up on somebody back in the day whether they are a nice person or a christian or not they are being excommunicated and subject to penalties imposed unfairly by a group of people upon one person

one time i opened a book that mentioned a local town and used the phrase kick rocks. the cover looked like that diner painting. damn i wish i had that book.
one time i read a story about a respected native american and the story of how he got his name. he left his tribe to go on a journey and when he returned he was attacked by one of his own people and one or two cronies who injured him and drove him away and said he died. he came back after recovering from his broken legs or whatever and had with him a pouch of sleeping powder and when these dudes were coming up on him gonna kill him this time well he showed them the medicine and these guys thought it was gonna get them pretty high i guess but they just fell asleep and i think he kicked their asses or whatever. anyways he went back to his tribe and they were like yo we thought you were dead that's a really crazy story dude you're a badass. and that's how he got his name. i forget what his name was and what the book was called so i can't find anything about this story but i would be interested in recovering the name of that book and the name of that native american so that i can read the original story and maybe buy the book
